Booking Information

To provide our booking services, we may collect and store:

• Booked listings
• Booking dates and times

• QR passes generated for bookings
• Booking status and attendance records

Payment Information

Online payments are securely processed by our payment partner, PayHere.

Bookiora does not store your full payment card number, CVV, or other sensitive authentication data.

We may securely store transaction information returned by our payment provider, including:

• Payment reference number
• Transaction amount
• Currency
• Payment status
• Payment method
• Masked payment card number (where provided)
• Card holder name (where provided)

Device & Technical Information

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use Bookiora, including:

2. How We Use Your Information

Bookiora respects your privacy and does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We only share your information when it is necessary to provide our services, process transactions, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of the Platform.

Hosts

When you successfully book a listing, the host will only receive the information necessary to fulfil your booking.

This currently includes:

• Your name.

Hosts do not receive your email address, payment information, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily choose to share it with them.

Payment Provider

Online payments are securely processed through PayHere.

Payment transactions are subject to the privacy and security policies of the payment provider. Bookiora does not have access to your full payment card details.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal information if required by applicable law, court order, governmental authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Bookiora, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies

Bookiora uses a limited number of cookies to provide a secure and reliable user experience.

These cookies help us:

• Keep you signed in when you select "Remember Me".
• Maintain secure user sessions.
• Improve the reliability of the Platform.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie-related information to third parties.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to better understand how visitors interact with Bookiora and to improve our services.

This information is used solely for analysing website performance, improving user experience, and monitoring the visibility of Bookiora in search engines.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfil legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you request the deletion of your Bookiora account:

• Your personal information will be permanently removed from our Platform.
• Your profile, profile image, QR passes, uploaded content, and related account information will be deleted.
• Completed order and payment records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, legal, and regulatory purposes.
• Where these records are retained, any reference linking them to your account will be removed or anonymised. For example, the associated customer account reference may be removed while preserving transaction information.

Protecting your personal information is one of our priorities.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These measures include:

• Encrypted communication using HTTPS.
• Secure authentication and password protection.

While we strive to use commercially reasonable security practices, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Bookiora is an online marketplace that allows individuals and businesses to create listings as hosts and enables customers to discover and book those listings. While Bookiora is currently operated from Sri Lanka, the Platform may be accessed and used by users from other countries.
