Cancellation and Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all bookings made through our platform ("Bookiora"). By creating an account, making a booking, or listing experiences, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Effective Date: 2026-06-25
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, booking fees, refunds, and refund requests are handled on the Bookiora platform ("Bookiora", "we", "our", or "us").
By creating an account, booking a listing, or using our Platform, you agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Bookiora acts as a marketplace that connects customers with hosts offering listings. While Bookiora facilitates bookings and online payments, certain payments may be made directly to hosts, depending on the selected payment method.
1. Booking Fee
Some listings require a Booking Fee to reserve your place.
The Booking Fee is a reservation fee charged by Bookiora to confirm your booking. For listings that support partial payments, the remaining balance is paid directly to the host at the venue unless otherwise stated.
Except in the situations specifically described in this Policy, the Booking Fee is non-refundable.
2. Payment Methods
Depending on the listing, customers may choose one of the following payment methods:
Full Online Payment
The customer pays the full listing amount through Bookiora using the available online payment methods.
Booking Fee + Pay at Venue
The customer pays only the Booking Fee online through Bookiora. The remaining balance is paid directly to the host at the venue before or during the listing.
3. Customer Cancellation
Customers may request to cancel their booking before the listing begins.
Refund eligibility depends on several factors, including the payment method selected, the timing of the cancellation, the reason for the cancellation, and the host's confirmation where applicable.
Booking Fee Only
If you paid only the Booking Fee, the Booking Fee is generally non-refundable.
Requests made due to personal reasons, including illness, scheduling conflicts, travel delays, or change of plans, are not guaranteed to be approved.
Refunds of the Booking Fee are only considered in the situations described in this Policy, such as host cancellations or Force Majeure events.
Full Online Payment
If you paid the full amount online, you may submit a refund request by contacting Bookiora Support.
Refund requests are reviewed individually. Bookiora may verify attendance using platform records, including QR code scan logs, and may contact the host before making a decision.
Approval of refund requests is not guaranteed and depends on the circumstances surrounding the booking.
4. Host Cancellation
If a host cancels a listing before it takes place, Bookiora will work with the customer and the host to resolve the booking fairly.
If the customer has paid only the Booking Fee, the Booking Fee will be refunded in full.
If the customer has paid the full amount online through Bookiora, the customer will receive a full refund, including the Booking Fee.
Bookiora may take appropriate action against hosts who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings, including warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.
5. Refund Amounts
The amount refunded depends on the payment method used and the reason for the refund.
6. Payments Made Directly to Hosts
For eligible listings, customers may pay only the Booking Fee through the Platform. Any remaining balance must be paid directly to the host at the venue or as otherwise agreed between the customer and the host.
Bookiora facilitates the booking process and any payments made through the Platform. However, any payments made directly to a host outside the Platform are solely the responsibility of the customer and the host.
Hosts are responsible for issuing receipts (where applicable), collecting outstanding balances, and complying with all applicable tax, legal, and regulatory requirements relating to direct payments.
Any disputes, refunds, or claims relating to payments made directly to a host should be resolved between the customer and the host, unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in Bookiora's policies.
Bookiora is not responsible for disputes arising solely from payments made directly between customers and hosts outside the Platform.
7. No-Show Policy
Customers are responsible for arriving at the listing location on time and complying with the host's attendance requirements.
If a customer fails to attend a listing without prior approval, the booking may be considered a No-Show.
When reviewing No-Show disputes, Bookiora may verify attendance using platform records, including QR code scan logs, and may also consult the host before making a final decision.
Refunds for No-Show bookings are generally not provided unless exceptional circumstances apply.
8. Force Majeure
Refunds relating to events that cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond anyone's reasonable control will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
- Natural disasters.
- Extreme weather conditions.
- Government restrictions.
- Public emergencies.
- Pandemics or epidemics.
- Other unforeseen events preventing the experience from taking place.
In these situations, Bookiora and the host will work together to determine whether a refund, rescheduling option, or another suitable resolution should be provided.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are generally processed within 3 business days.
Refunds will normally be issued via bank transfer or, where supported by the payment provider, returned to the original payment method.
The time required for funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
10. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact Bookiora Support before the scheduled experience begins whenever possible.
